Warm It Up 🌡️

For a cozy, restful feel, choose warm lighting below 3000K. Cooler, blue-toned light can disrupt your sleep cycle and suppress melatonin to make it harder for your body to relax.

Our golden rule: stick to lighting that’s 3000K or even warmer like 2700K. Warm white or soft white bulbs are perfect for bedrooms, helping you fall asleep faster and wake up gently.

Let’s Talk Downlights 💡

A standard grid of downlights don’t always light the areas you actually use or help create a relaxing atmosphere. Instead, we like to using downlights with purpose by adding light where it matters most to balance functionality and comfort.

Pro Tip: our go-tos are directional downlights like Shift Ins and Shift Outs, Kinetic or Switch Downlights  or baby downlights like our Titanium Starlights and EQ Comfort 60s.

By angling them towards wardrobes, art, or workspaces, we highlight key areas, prevent dark corners, and make sure you’re getting the most bang for your buck.

Flexibility Matters

No single light does it all. Layering your lighting creates flexibility for every mood and moment to ensure you can easily switch from bright and functional to soft and soothing, all with the touch of a button.

Pro Tip: Separating your ambient lighting from your task and accent lighting.

We love the Vespa G2s for their soft, even general illumination. Then, add bedside lighting, LED strip lights, or directional downlights for purpose, extra depth and warmth.

Picking the “Right Bedside Light” 🌙

The right bedside light depends on your style, habits, and how you use your space.

  • For readers: wall lights like the Fuse 3 Wall Light, the stylish Creo, or the Dots Reading  Light are perfect for targeted illumination and ensures your partner can still fall asleep while you catch up on your reading!

Bonus Tip 💫

Feeling creative? LED strip lights are for you!

We add them in to bring a soft, luxurious glow to your space, whether placed behind the bedhead, recessed in the ceiling, or subtly lighting sheer curtains.
